Technology

Edwin Lee, Technology Coordinator

The Mountain View School District is committed to the use of all available resources to provide quality instructional programs through which all students are able to attain the skills needed to succeed in a complex information society and become lifelong learners.

This technology plan has been developed in order to provide for the implementation, maintenance, and management of the program in a cost-effective manner. It is structured to include a set of goals and objectives for the training of faculty and staff, development of instructional programs and teaching strategies, acquisition of hardware and software, and utilization of outside resources within the arena of educational technology. Because of the rapid change in technology and its components, the plan needs to be updated yearly.

A Technology Implementation Team was formed in order to recommend specific actions that needed to be taken to meet both short and long-term goals. It is the intent of the Technology Implementation Team that technology becomes an integral part of the instructional process.
