The Mountain View School District believes that through education, the next generation will develop systems and solutions to the world's problems that past generations could not have dreamt. To support the learning and development of tomorrow’s leaders, the Technology Department at MVSD maintains the network infrastructure, standardizes hardware and data, develops systems and procedures as well as supports the educational community in utilizing the technology adopted by the district.

We believe that our staff are the most important resource to impact  the academic achievement of our students and our department is no exception. The IT Department provides a wide-range of services to the district to keep students safe, support classroom instruction and meet state/federal requirements.
 
Students today are growing and learning in a time where answers are at their fingertips. The challenge is no longer how to get the answer, the challenge is how to identify the right answer. “Correct answers” are now computational. Critical thinking, on the other hand, is a human operation. Through collaboration, communication, and development, the MVSD Technology Department strives to support our educational community to prepare our students for their future
