Chris Taylor - Member

Mr. Chris Taylor grew up in the Midwest and moved to California with his wife, Ila Taylor, in 2002. In 2012, they moved to South Ontario with their two boys. Mr. Taylor earned his Bachelor's degree in Christian Education from Manhattan Christian College in 2000 and received his Masters in Ministry Leadership from Hope International University in 2009.

Mr. Taylor was a youth pastor for 15 years and has coached youth sports for many years. He served on Creek View Elementary School Site Council for three years prior to his service on the Board.

In the past, Mr. Taylor served on Ontario's Business Retention Committee. In 2013, he partnered with area churches to start LaunchPoint Community Church and continues to serve families throughout our community in his role as Lead Pastor.

Mr. Taylor and his wife now have three children within the district who have benefited from our schools. Each child has thrived in their own way; one loves and excels at school, another has overcome learning disabilities to flourish and their foster daughter has received the support needed through a turbulent time. All of this fuels Mr. Taylor's passion to see that every child has every opportunity to thrive.

Chris Taylor believes in an intentional and responsible budget with a strong vision and will allow the district to:

  • Create safer campuses
  • Respond to the concerns and ideas of families within our community
  • Establish a healthy relationship-based culture that leads to better learning environments
  • Employ the best teachers and administration to ensure high quality learning
  • Provide the technology necessary for kids to successfully prepare for the future

Mr. Taylor is committed to team-oriented leadership that focuses on practical solutions so that every child can thrive.

Restraint and Seclusion Data

California Department of Education

Data Collection

The CDE collected restraint and seclusion data for the first time from local educational agencies (LEAs) as part of the 2019–20 CALPADS End-of-Year (EOY) 3 annual data submission. In preparation for this data collection, the CDE directed LEAs to start collecting these data locally beginning in fall 2019 for submission to CALPADS from May to September 2020. To accommodate the collection of these data, the CALPADS student discipline data files were modified to include the collection of the following behavioral restraint and seclusion data, which are defined in EC section 49005.1:

  • Mechanical Restraint: Use of a device or equipment to restrict a pupil's freedom of movement (with exceptions).
  • Physical Restraint: A personal restriction that immobilizes or reduces the ability of a pupil to move his or her torso, arms, legs, or head freely (with exceptions).
  • Seclusion: The involuntary confinement of a pupil alone in a room or area from which the pupil is physically prevented from leaving.

The chart below reflects data for the 2024-2025 school year.
